MGS4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a war-torn future where huge conglomerates, including those in the Middle East and South America, fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries. While the actual beta has been available for download for a few days, it seems server issues have delayed the actual start "until further notice," but at the same time extending the test period with a few extra days. Following this week's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars preview event, Activision has confirmed that it is shutting down its internal Underground Development studio. Acquired by Activision in 2002, the studio previously known as Z-Axis, known for titles such as Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX and Aggressive Inline, is finishing up the PS3 port of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The 45 employees are being given the opportunity to work at other Activision studios.
