Mangled Eye Studios has revealed its first project, a Quake III powered FPS Dark Salvation. You take on the role of a young dead woman who has been sucked into the underworld and is now possessed by a deadly object, allowing her to cast magic according to each weapon she yields. There are plenty of levels, secrets, monsters and secret weapons to explore, find and fight.

Sony has released a new v2.17 edition of its PS3 system software, but despite the recent hints at a possible in-game XMB/Home update this new version seems rather anemic as it only "improves the operating stability of some online PS3 titles."
