HBO Video will be releasing some of its programming in the PSP format, announcing Tuesday that it will put out six of its programs on the mini-disc platform for Sony's PSP, starting with the first two seasons of the Da Ali G Show.

The Lord of the Rings Tactics will put players in the universe of Middle Earth from the books and films and allow them to lead the Fellowship or take control of the forces of Shadow. The tactical RPG game features a rich system of items, upgrades and skills for the player to customize their heroes.

WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2006 adds all new features, while refining what made the original a hit with both wrestling fans and casual gamers alike. The newly created "Momentum System" will recreate the real life emotional peaks and valleys of an actual wrestling match, while the addition of a "Stamina System" will force players to play more strategically by conserving their energy in order to maintain stamina throughout the duration of a match.

Electronic Arts announced today that model and actress Josie Maran will star in Need for Speed Most Wanted, which is launching in November 2005. In Need for Speed Most Wanted, Maran takes on the role of a local street racer named Mia.

The player takes the role of Maximillan, the leader of "Bounty Hounds" – a ruthless band of mercenaries. The mission is to engage in battle with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI) spread across planets and unfold a sinister plot between a corporation and ETI that threatens to take over the world.

Today the first details from the next game in the Splinter Series have been revealed. According to rumors, there will be a PS2 edition available, but no PS3 version. SC4 is situated in 2007 and will take you to various places such as Madrid, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro, New York and Berlin. There are quite a few new features added to the new title, such as the requirement for Sam Fisher to find food and eat on longer missions, exercising to stay in shape, using a raft in certain missions, and although no specifics were disclosed, co-op mode will return (thanks JeuxFrance). While this info is to be taken with a grain of salt, Splinter Cell 4 is expected on all platforms in March 2006.

Ready At Dawn, an independent company founded by some of Jak and Daxter's original creators, is working on Daxter for the PSP, which finally lets players control Jak's wacky sidekick throughout the entire game. Daxter will be one of the first PSP titles to support connectivity with a PS2 title.

In Crash Tag Team Racing players will be able to fuse two cars together on the fly to form a super vehicle outfitted with a turret gun with the all-new "clashing" technology. Electronic Arts today announced plans to co-publish Namco's Dead to Rights: Reckoning for the PSP. Delivering the series' trademark non-stop, hard-boiled action and a gritty cop storyline, Dead to Rights: Reckoning, developed by Rebellion in the UK, is planned for release on the PSP in the winter of 2005.

THQ today announced an agreement with studio Team17 to publish Worms on the PSP and Nintendo DS. Retaining the same gameplay and unique sense of humour that has epitomised the brand for almost a decade, Worms brings a whole raft of new features and laugh-out-loud comedy to the handhelds.

Bandai today announced that they are publishing The Legend of Heroes for the PSP in the United States in September. The game is a single-player turn-based RPG featuring more than 100 unique characters to interact with and over 50 hours of gameplay.
