For the first time since its launch Halo 2 is not the
most played game on Xbox Live. Last week there was some controversy by adding Halo 2 to the Xbox 360 list, but this week it is clear, Gears of War reigns supreme and dethroned Bungie's sequel. It seems that Blizzard isn't the only one who drops the ban hammer, as Valve's new Anti-Cheat technology caught a few people cheating in Counter-Strike: Source and other games this week – over 10,000. VAC detects anyone using cheat software and permanently bans his or her Steam account. Valve expects to see a surge of forum posts laying blame squarely at the feet of "my little brother."
