Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software announces Frontline Attack: War over Europe (US title: World War II: Panzer Claws). Eidos has acquired the worldwide publishing rights to the game with the exception of Russia, Poland and South Korea. Produced by Zuxxez Entertainment AG, Germany and developed by In-Images, Poland, Frontline Attack: War over Europe will be released on PC in September. Noticed over at the German Eidos site that they have now a German demo available for download and a mirror is up at 3DGamers. Beware, this puppy is a whopping 320mb!!! This demo offers a tutorial and one mission playable as the Wehrmacht side.

Expected and as we mentioned yesterday a new patch for America's Army: Operations has been released. This update patch upgrades your version of America's Army : Recon from v1.1.1 to v1.2.0. It adds the Airborne School/Tour, Ranger School/Tour, weapon improvements, various other gameplay changes, and a handful of bugfixes. Today there is a demo of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin available for download from Tiscali Games. The demo is 48MB to grab and you can try out the first mission in this third-person action game by IO Interactive.

This multiplayer demo of Battlefield 1942 is now available for download (130MB), and it includes one map from the upcoming 3D vehicle-shooter set on Wake Island and a single game mode, Conquest. The full game will allow gamers to take control of multiple Classes and Vehicles such as tanks, dive-bombers, submarines and aircraft carriers while they fight in World War II, against other players online. Blizzard just informed us that they have released a new update patch for their recently released 3D RTS, WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos. This patch upgrades your WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos to v1.02. Simply connect to Battle.net to download the patch. A standalone version of this patch will be available soon. The V1.2 patch fixes 2 gameplay issues and has a few balance changes. Strategy First just let us know that they have just released a playable demo of Haemimont Multimedia's isometric real-time strategy game, Celtic Kings: Rage of War. The place to be is their usual Gigex (direct Gigex link). The demo features a tutorial, the first mission from the adventure mode, a single player map and weighs in at 90 MB. (Thanks Blues).

Shrapnel Games announced today that the first Space Empires: IV Gold patch. This patch, v1.78, adds features and enhancements and fixes bugs. Besides fixing a number of small bugs, the AI has been tweaked and some additional fixes were added to TCP/IP play.

Shrapnel Games announced the release of Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey Demo today. Aaron Hall's Dungeon Odyssey is an RPG where you will adventure to far off lands and encounter a multitude of different creatures.

Konami of America, Inc. confirmed today that The Document of Metal Gear Solid2, an interactive documentary that chronicles the development of the mega-hit Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, will release in the United States on September 24th 2002. Featuring never-before-seen aspects of the game, new playable VR TRAINING missions, original concept plans, rare video footage and trailers and programming secrets, The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 gives all-new insight into the acclaimed series from director, Hideo Kojima.

Firefly Studios and Take Two Interactive have released a playable demo of Stronghold: Crusader, available for download from Gigex (here's a direct link if the Gigex client doesn't work for you). The 79.0 MB demo allows you to try out this isometric castle building strategy sequel, and it offers a tutorial and three skirmish levels. This is something i personally am looking forward to (thanks Blues).

The Marksmanship pack takes players to the U.S. Army's Sniper School in Fort Benning, Ga., for training missions. In order to progress to this advanced level, players must qualify as an "Expert" in the Rifle Range single-player mission. In the Army, relatively few Soldiers attain an "Expert" qualification badge, so meeting the requirements to proceed to this level in America's Army is not easy.
