Westwood just released the new patches for Command & Conquer Renegade, upgrading the English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese and Korean version of their recently released 3D action game to v1.030. They add several airborne units, two new maps (specifically made for the new additions), and several other tweak and changes. The v1.2.4.1 patch still contains a network bug it already offers improved joystick and keyboard control, more set-up options, some graphics enhancements, and more. BonusWeb just informed us that the English demo of Beam Breakers is now available for download. The demo is available in 2 versions : with DirectX (137.7 MB) and without DirectX (113.1 MB). The English version has 3 missions, a training map and 2 multiplayer maps. You can choose between 4 different cars (unlike the german demo which only had 2). Eidos has just announced that they released a new 'Blood Omen 2' patch updating their vampire action adventure game to v1.02. This upgrade only improves the game's stability in addition to all the fixes from the previous patch. The patch weighs in about 2.9mb and a warning about save games not being compatible is given. The new v1.2 update patch for Barking Dog's recent first person shooter, Global Operations, has been released. Its about 5mb worth of fixes and tweaks such as : fixed the client freeze at round end, fixed server crash when allied teams kill NPCs, fixed mouse zoom bug, fixed gas/smoke grenade sprite bug, c4 bomb pick up issue, other stability fixes. DreamCatcher lets us know they just released their demo for Starmageddon, a full 3D real-time strategy in space. The gameplay takes the best and proven elements of RTS genre, where both quick thinking and long-term strategies are important. The user interface is intuitive and very easy to get into and use, with some never before seen features (e.g. for the first time in 3D space RTS the player has a complete freedom of the camera movement). Get it at 3DGamers while its hot (a whopping 106 megs)!

The v1.1 patch is a mere 2.9mb large and fixes all kinda of stuff such as heyboard controls, mouse and gamepad (you'd figure they test this before it hits gold but hey .. thats just me) as well as believe it or not .. game crashes etc..etc...

Larian Studios today tossed up a new 30 MB - 5:47 min movie from their upcoming game Divinity. In this new movie there are five scenes. Four of them show non-combat situations and one shows how’s it like to leisure through a forest being of a much higher level than the enemies you’re meeting. Grab this new movie here!

Raven Software has released the Windows32/Linux versions of the Jedi Knight II dedicated server for their hit first person action game for publisher LucasArts. You can download the server at four locations over at HomeLAN. The Win32 : Download One,Download Two, Download Three and Download Four and the Linux version : Download One,Download Two, Download Three and Download Four. The first patch for the retail game is now ready. This patch addresses the most serious issues. Most of this was done last week, but we also did a major optimization to the server that was really needed to make the game play better. We played a nice game yesterday on a server that was capped at 384K upstream, and it was smooth.
