RayLogic has updated their demo for Dark Ore due to a launch problem for Win98/ME users. They had already released their 1.0 version yesterday, but the new 1.1 version of the Dark Ore beta demo is now available at the RayLogic website and as before it requires a 15.2 MB download (thanks Blues).

Noticed over at Blues that Barking Dog Studios has released the final multiplayer demo of Global Operations, available for download from Electronic Arts' ftp server. This version 2.0 demo offers the Antarctica map (as opposed to the Quebec map in the beta demo) from their team-based tactical shooter, and it requires a 98.6 MB download. Also available is a version 2.0.2.3 upgrade (4.8 MB) for the dedicated Linux server.

BuzzingCars is a totally crazy racing game where you'll not only need to be fast but also smart. You must carry out various missions such as drive robots around, chase flying saucers, electrocute aliens and of course race against the clock. Primal Software has released an 184MB demo of their 3D action RPG, The I of The Dragon. "A mystical land filled with magical creatures is your playground. Well its better than nothing ... The long promised demo isn't available yet or should we say STILL not, but at least we can now drool over a 2min divx "New World Order movie" with some in-game footage. For the few people out there who have no idea what NWO is about, its a first person shooter developed by Termite Games/Project3. It is commonly said to be the only game being a TRUE Counter Strike killer (thanks blues).

Noticed on the German Ubi Soft site that the playable demo of Red Storm's imminent squad-based tactical shooter, "The Sum of All Fears" is now available for download. Publisher and game site iGames along with developer S2 Games today announced its first multiplayer game for the PC, “Savage.” Set in a primal fantasy world torn apart by two power-hungry factions, Man and Beast, the game combines the best elements of real-time strategy with intense first person combat. With a fantastic storyline and the capacity to engage 64 players at a time, “Savage” provides gamers with the most realistic fantasy battle experience to date. Savage is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2003. Savage will be shown at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Kentia Hall, booth number 7336.

The new level of the Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast demo is now available from Bluesnews as a separate download for owners of the retail game It's a 6.3 MB download (it includes a demo.bat file to properly play the map) and we confirmed with Raven Software that it is a legitimate albeit unsupported release. A usual Friday it seems .. plenty of demo's get released right before the weekend ... First the announced updated Mobile Forces demo at 3D Gamers. The enhanced version of Rage Software's vehicular team-based shooter (74.1 MB) offers the same level and Holdout mode as previous version but includes a dedicated server option, enhanced networking code, rebalanced weapons, tweaked physics, particle effects, a spectator option, gameplay tweaks, bug fixes (thanks Blues). Second there is the 'Tony Hawk 3' demo which allows you to skate the Foundry as Tony Hawk. This 50mb skating pleasure is available at FilePlanet.

It wasnt supposed to be released until later today but the demo version of Raven Software and LucasArts's hit action game Star Wars: Jedi Knight II is now available.
