BFME 2 takes part in the North where a battle is raging between Sauron's forces vs. elves and dwarves. It will be possible to create/customize your own hero, apart from known figures such as Arwin, and become more powerful as you progress in the game. While BFME was all land based, the sequel will also take the action on the sea, naval battles included, courtesy of an updated engine.

AFSL Games announced today that Battle Carry is complete and will be released this coming Friday, October 7th, and will be
available for download for $19.95. Battle Carry is an action oriented deathmatch game featuring high speed tanks and powerful secondary weapons. The release will feature eight maps, playable in deathmatch, team deathmatch, and objective match. It will have nine secondary weapons, and four unique tanks to use.

Valve's
SteamPowered website has been updated with details regarding the latest update for its online delivery system Steam. This release fixes a loading error when trying to debug Source MODs using the SDK, fixes a Source Engine startup crash in Win98, and also fixes Half-Life 1: Engine name exploit causing client crash. Just restart Steam for the effects to take place.

The new game will follow the plot of the original "From Russia with Love" film, including the battle on the Orient Express and the boat chase sequence, but will expand the story with new action sequences. The development team approached the game as a director's cut of the film, which will allow the player to utilize such cool toys as the jetpack and a Q-copter as well as the trusty Walther PPK handgun.

Last week
Game Informer revealed that a Halo-related character was going to be unlockable in Team Ninja’s upcoming Dead Or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360, and while Bundie usually quickly dismisses, or simply doesn't comment, such rumors, this time
they confirmed that it is indeed true. Bungie claims to be huge DOA fans, and when Team Ninja approached them they were more than excited to cooperate. What character will actually be featured in DoA 4 is still a well kept secret, but more details are promised to be revealed soon. Since there will not be a Halo 3 announcement at X05, we are looking forward to hear what Bungie has in store...

Today Sony has released a new v2.01 update for its PSP firmware for the, currently only Japanese, PSP, in reponse to a v2.0 security loophole discovered by an amateur programmer. While the v2.0 crack was not intended to be malicious another group of PSP users quickly jumped on the bandwagon and released a a fake patch which will "brick your PSP and void the warranty," according to
