Tecmo has released the third, and final, downloadable survival mode for its PS3 exclusive action adventure game, Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The “Rachel Master” ($2.99) download features five survival battles in which after completing them, the player will have access to Rachel’s new hair style.

Revealed yesterday, during Microsoft's pre-TGS media briefing Team Ninja announced that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be an X360 exclusive and available worldwide in 2008. It seems Team Ninja is not only working on the PS3's Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but also on an adaptation for the NDS. According to the latest Famitsu, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is not just a hack 'n' slash action game like its bigger brethren, but more of a 3D action-adventure in the style of the recent Hotel Dusk: Room 215, where you play sideways and use the touch-screen to control your movements.

The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that TECMO is bringing is Ninja Gaiden series to the PS3. Absent during the Microsoft conference earlier, Ninja Gaiden Sigma will make its debut at the Sony happening on the 22nd, but it is said that the new game ought to be playable on the showfloor, with an improved combat system, updated graphics, new weapons, and the ability to wield dual katanas.
