Namco Bandai are currently working on a new installment in the SoulCalibur franchise albeit a departure from the usual fighting game formula. SoulCalibur Legends will be an action adventure game, using the wiimote to defeat enemies, mostly familiar characters from the SC universe. In an interview with GameDaily, Namco Bandai producer Daisuke Uchiyama revealed that the Soul Calibur team is working on a new title. The new product came to light when Daisuke Uchiyama commented that the Tekken and SC teams were supposed to work on a new DBZ fighter, by the time the Namco Bandai merger was complete, each had already started on their next installment. No release date or specific platforms for Soul Calibur IV was disclosed.

Namco announced today a retail pre-order program for its upcoming fighting game, SoulCalibur III. Starting this month, consumers in the United States and Canada can pay $5 at Electronics Boutique, GameStop and GameCrazy stores to pre-order SoulCalibur III and receive a custom t-shirt when they pick up the game.
