NCsoft Corporation has updated beta testing plans for its highly anticipated online computer game, City of Heroes created by San Jose-based, Cryptic Studios. For the next two-and-a-half weeks, NCsoft will be inviting customers who have purchased the City of Heroes pre-order box into the beta test. All customers who have registered their pre-order box accounts will be included in the beta by April 7, 2004.

NCsoft and Blue King Studios announced plans today to publish a monthly comic book based on NCsoft's highly anticipated online computer game, City of Heroes. City of Heroes is the creation of San Jose-based game developer, Cryptic Studios. The full-color, monthly comic book features the triumphs and tragedies of a trio of super-powered heroes as they fight to find their way in Paragon City, the setting for the groundbreaking game.

With the demise of 3DO a while ago the future of the Geroes Of Might & Magic was uncertain until Ubisoft outbid other publishers a few months later. With the additional closing of long time developer New World Computing, it has been very quiet on the who and when we can expect the next installment (which would mean the fith episode). Heroic Corner claims to have received confirmation from 2 independent sources that Silent Storm & Etherlords developer Nival Interactive might be the chosen one. Since most of Nival Interactive's titles have been strategy based it might very well be possible that they have been tagged by Ubisoft to work on 'Heroes of Might & Magic 5' (

NCsoft Corporation announces the beginning of its pre-order retail box campaign for Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle and City of Heroes in North America. The boxes will begin to appear on store shelves this week at computer game retail outlets throughout the United States and Canada. Both games are expected to launch commercially this spring.

The SilentHeroes team has released a new update for their BF1942 total conversion. Thids update brings their mod to v0.33 and includes support for the recent BF1942 v1.6 patch and a few other fixes and additions. SilentHeroes is developed by a group of Swedish people and the story revolves around a conflict between Sweden and Norway in 2007, which started after the US attack on Iraq earlier this year. SEGA of America, Inc. today announced the availability of "Sonic Heroes" on the Xbox and PlayStation2 . The first original Sonic The Hedgehog console game in three years is also the legendary speed demon's first appearance on Xbox and PlayStation 2 consoles.
