Thanksgiving weekend is almost over. After breakfast today, we're driving back home. As usual, as pleasant as this trip was, we're always glad to head back home.
Having done nothing but eat and shop for the past few days, my dinner was banana split ice cream. My rationale was that it's milk! Sister-in-law works at Haagen Dazs, so we get all the free ice cream we could want. Can't beat that!
While sitting around, we watched a few episodes of Person of Interest, the new Grimm series, as well as True Legend movie. Just catching up ...

Looking forward to Sunday's second season premiere of
The Walking Dead, which is a series that I really enjoyed. Got to slog through a few more episodes of
Terra Nova, and while it's decent, I'm hoping for it to pick up some steam.
Tonight we're going to a super advance premiere of
Red Tails, a WWII movie about African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program. The movie's not due for release until 2012, but I guess they want some early feedback and do some extra editing/changes based on that. The few trailers have looked interesting, so we had planned on seeing it anyway.

Finished up Warhammer 10k: Space Marine today, and I thought it was quite enjoyable. Even hopped into some multiplayer matches but got my ass handed to me right away, so looks like I'll have some ranking up to do to unlock some better gear.
Now I can get back to Deus Ex, with more unlocks! I may even get to some Gears of War 3 this weekend — oh wait, it's not on PC! *sarcasm*
We wrapped up the latest season of Hell's Kitchen, and once again our pick did not win. Both finalists were worthy, but we leaned toward the runner-up. At least it wasn't that crying whiny ass b*tch, Elise.

We're working behind the scenes to prepare for a server upgrade and move later this week, so if you are experiencing any issues with accessing the site on Friday and Saturday, do not fear! It will only be temporary until data transfers and DNS updates have been completed. The new server will be bigger and better, with a few more site updates coming shortly thereafter.
I'm having some weird issues with Crysis 2. I can't get past the first section of the game, when I get out of the sub. Each time I get to the surface, my computer shuts down. It has done the same thing 3-4 times already, each time in that particular spot.
As the weekend approaches, only one thing matters:
Sucker Punch!

"The Eagle" wasn't as epic as we had hoped, since a great part of the movie revolved around two people wandering around and looking for their esteemed emblem. It's still a fairly decent movie, but we had hoped for more large-scale battles. Instead there was a somewhat excessive amount of talking. Who knew?
This week kicks off GDC, which we will be attending, so there should be quite a bit of coverage coming up.
After playing Bulletstorm for a few days, I'm nearing the end, and while I've been enjoying it, I can't say that I would shell out $60 for it. It's quite obvious that People Can Fly, now part of Gears Of War developer Epic, is using the Unreal Engine and got its inspiration from the aforementioned game. There are many similarities, such as the identical firing mechanism, comparable character designs and the same way of jumping over obstacles.

Well, that's that with that. The holidays are over, so it's back to the grind.
Things will probably be quiet for a little bit longer, but normal coverage will now resume. Hope you have enjoyed our
Top Games of 2010 feature, and we are currently also having a
DC Universe Online beta key giveaway (for both PC and PS3 codes), which will be ending soon. Be sure to have a go at it.
Yesterday was pretty subdued. We ran some errands and watched TV for the rest of the day. We got sucked into the
Pillars of the Earth miniseries and two of the
Millennium Trilogy movies.

Doing all those chores over the weekend has worn us out, so we're due for a good night's sleep.
Adam is going to go see his advance premiere of
TRON: Legacy tonight, so I'll be interested to hear what he thinks of it since he is quite a big fan of the franchise. The critical reviews of the movie have been somewhat on the negative side, even though we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I was a little bit surprised to read today that
TRON: Legacy uses more advanced 3-D filming equipment than Avatar. It really wasn't noticeable at all, and I still think that Avatar is leaps and bounds ahead of any other 3-D movie we've seen since.
The video game, on the other hand, well ... that's not even in the same stratosphere. We'll have reviews for the game and movie later this week.
Couch-wise, we watched Fringe and The Sing-Off, which is quite entertaining despite being
a capella singing.

My hearing is slowly coming back, and everything is almost back to normal. We just realized that yesterday's Slash concert was the kickoff to the North American leg of his world tour, which made the gig somewhat special. There was a live recording being offered after the show, but we passed on it — something we probably shouldn't have done in light of this information.
PAX is upon us. We'll have somebody on site to check out some new titles, so keep your eyes peeled for some coverage. Prior to that, we have a trip to LA to check out Call of Duty: Black Ops and then off to Seattle to pay Microsoft a visit.
Not much TV time today. We only watched some Rescue Me, but tomorrow, Covert Affairs should be available via On Demand.

Sorry for the late start. Had to get in a nap before we head over to Capcom and Electronic Arts to check out some new titles. Looks like it's going to be a long day.
Last night, we got around to watching the newest Entourage — can't shake the feeling that something is afoot there — and the first episode of the newest IT Crowd season. If you are unfamiliar with the IT Crowd, it's a British comedy, and if you've been around computers and nerdy people as long as we have, then you'll certainly appreciate it. Check it out! It's hilarious.
