While specific details are still somewhat sketchy, Konami did finally unveil the first details. As you can see from the screens and trailer, Snake is much older than any of the previous titles, and the events in MGS 4 take places several years after Metal Gear Solid 2. At a lavish Berlin launch event to celebrate today's release of PAL versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the creator and director Hideo Kojima informed assembled journalists that, while Snake Eater did indeed wrap up his initial trilogy, he will be involved with a fourth Metal Gear Solid title.
