Star Wars: Republic Commando is a squad-based FPS that lets you explore the elite world of the Star Wars military while leading a 3-man squad of Republic Commandos. This v1.0 patch adds a new multiplayer map, Hangar, suitable for up to 16 players and can be played in all supported multiplayer modes (Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Assault).

CNN's Game Over column brings us quite a surprise in its forward look at E3 titles, as they have received information about a possibility of 3D Realms' long-cancelled Prey getting re-announced at the world's biggest gaming event in LA. "The show's biggest surprise, though, will likely be the revelation of Prey. The game, originally about a Native American who fights several nefarious alien races, was thought to be cancelled, but quietly restarted a few years ago. The new version will use the Doom 3 graphics engine and is said to be a visually striking title. There's no word on whether the story has changed. 3D Realms originally worked on Prey, but word is they have handed development to a third party and are overseeing work on the game." Reuters is confirming the recent rumors that the original James Bond of the big screen, Sean Connery, has agreed to reprise his role as Agent 007 for Electronic Arts' upcoming video game version of From Russia With Love.
