Choose between the knight Gray, the wizard Ray, the priestess Tina or the warrior Bud and use their weapons and magic powers to prevent the destruction of your kingdom.
Each character has different fighting techniques and attack combos. Gray Braford is a master swordsman capable of powerful circular attacks. When he brandishes his sword over his head, his enemies know that a fearsome fate awaits them. Bud Chamberlain wields an axe and his attacking forward rolls and charges are devastating in close combat. Raybrandt Lugnal can use his sorcerer’s wand to shoot fireballs and bolts of lightning in seven different directions. He can also cause meteor showers, wounding all his enemies within a wide radius. Finally, Tina Iblies can fight like a veritable kung-fu master – woe betide anyone who gets in the way of her fists and feet.
An easy-to-learn game for immediate player satisfaction.
Raging Blades has three difficulty settings, with ‘easy’ being a tutorial running over the first three levels. In each difficulty setting, the game gets progressively more difficult as the player advances from start to finish. Each of the nine game’s levels is made up of several fight zones. Players must eliminate all enemies before moving on to the next zone. To move on to the next level, players will have to defeat “boss” creatures with devastatingly powerful attacks. Players will need to use their best attacks if they are to overcome the bosses and will also have to observe their behaviour carefully in order to discover their weaknesses.
Three factors determine a player’s score: the time taken to finish the level; the number of enemies killed; and a technical score based on a player’s ability to perform sophisticated attack combos without being wounded by the enemy. To get a good score, players will have to finish the level as quickly as possible by using powerful attack combos and avoiding getting wounded. Players can collect special powers and equipment by destroying objects such as wooden chests, urns and barrels: healing spells, fire spells for double damage, life points, temporary armour and invincibility, special attacks, etc.
Choose the adventure of Campaign mode or fight your friends in Duel mode.
In Campaign mode, players choose one of the four characters and undertake a series of missions in the many levels of the kingdom of Atranart. The story, order the levels appear and strategy required all vary depending on the character selected. At all times, players can invite a friend to join the game and continue in co-operative mode: the two players will then join forces and battle the demons and monsters together. In co-operative mode, skilful use of combo attacks will see players make rapid progress through the levels. For example, the first player can throw an enemy through the air and the second player can hit him with an attack just before he falls to the ground. Once the Campaign mode has been completed, new characters and arenas will be unlocked. These will then be available in Duel mode. Eventually, players will have 24 characters to choose from. In Duel mode, up to four players can do battle in special arenas. Players can also form alliances and fight as teams. The backgrounds remain interactive and players must race each other to collect life points and special attacks. In order to win, players/teams must either kill all their enemies or have the highest health levels at the end of the allotted time. The match will be declared a draw if neither of these conditions are fulfilled.
