Evanescence stormed onto the music scene with Billboard's "Hot 100," number 1 single, "Bring Me To Life," from its double-platinum debut album, "Fallen" on Wind-up Records. Its smash-hit release remains in the top 10 on the Billboard chart after more than 15 straight weeks. "Bring Me to Life" maintains its place in the top five at pop radio and the band's new single, "Going Under," is swiftly rising up the alternative rock charts.
Emerging artists, including Cold (Geffen), Revis (Epic), Cauterize (Wind-up) and Finger Eleven (Wind-up) are also supporting the tour. Each concert location will feature a unique gaming experience with a host of Nintendo GameCube(TM) and Game Boy® Advance games, ranging from first-person adventures to retro favorites.
"Our culture today is about blending all the things that we love and living a seamless lifestyle," explains George Harrison, senior vice president, marketing and corporate communications, Nintendo of America Inc. "The Nintendo Fusion Tour perfectly mirrors that dynamic -- merging music, gaming and culture into one experience."
"We're really looking forward to doing this tour," says Amy Lee, Evanescence front-woman. "When we're on the road, we play music all night and Nintendo all day. This tour lets us bring two of our favorite things together."
The Nintendo Fusion Tour, produced by Clear Channel Entertainment and booked by Dave Kirby at the Agency Group, includes such exclusive tour partners as the fastest growing music magazine, Blender, a leading consumer electronics retailer, Circuit City, and LAUNCH, the music destination on Yahoo!
