According to its name Inquisitor takes place in a dark medieval world full of heresy and sacrileges. The storyline is situated in a fictional ancient Realm of Ultherst, which stands at the edge of destruction. The Realm was hit by several divine strikes and it is believed that the End of days has come - exactly as it is described in Apocalypse of St. Ezekiel. Everything good that had been built for centuries began to fall and souls of many people were infected by the worst illness at all - the heresy...

And what's more, struggle for power between the Holy Mother the Church and the Brotherhood of Justice - a powerful order of paladins - broke out after the Inquisition was granted nearly unlimited powers by the elderly king of Ultherst, broken down by death of his only son. Inquisition is an investigating and judicial body of the Holy Mother the Church called to arms to fight against heresy by any means necessary. But the power goes hand-in-hand with corruption and it is likely that the Inquisition was infected by evil that never sleeps. Or maybe not - the truth is out there!

The story begins in small mountain town at the borders of the Realm, where the player is sent to investigate the death of a merchant dealing with ancient artefacts and relics. But soon the player will be put on the track of much bigger - and much dangerous - crime. With increasing number of solved crimes and executed heretics the player will recognize, that he stands in front of murderous conspiracy that endangers both the faith and the power in the Realm.

The highlights of Inquisitor are furious action and a dark gripping story together with original and user-friendly gaming rules full of numerous unique skills. It is a mixture of high standards of RPGs and numerous innovations invented in order to create a memorable game.
