In addition to bringing the long-running story arc that began with A Realm Reborn to its conclusion, Endwalker marks a new beginning for the MMO, setting the stage for new adventures that longtime fans and new players can enjoy together. The new expansion will bring an abundance of new features, including multiple new jobs, an increased level cap, vast new areas, updates to the battle system, a variety of new challenges to overcome, as well as crafter and gatherer content.

The new Dawntrail expansion sees the Warrior of Light travel to the land of Tural for the first time, bringing with it a wealth of new content. Expect new story, multiple new jobs, sprawling new areas to explore, new allied tribes, new dungeons, new side quests, new Hunts, new Fates, new Treasure Hunts and much more.

Square Enix invites Warriors of Light to enjoy all-new Dawntrail footage with the newly released Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail official benchmark software for Windows now available for download. Featuring new in-game areas, enemies and more showcasing the exciting additions to come with the expansion alongside the first graphical update for the game, the benchmark software gives players a chance to test their computer’s ability to run Final Fantasy XIV ahead of the Dawntrail launch on Tuesday 2nd July, 2024

The benchmark software offers users the ability to create a character, or import an existing one, to be featured in the benchmark’s real-time cutscenes. In addition to the existing playable races in the character creator, users will be able to create female Hrothgar: a new playable race debuting alongside Dawntrail. The appearance data of characters created using the benchmark can also be saved for use in the Windows version of the game.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is scheduled to launch on July 2, 2024.

As part of the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida also discussed a number of updates and changes to come with the release of Dawntrail, alongside the results of the recent 10th Anniversary player survey.

The Final Fantasy XIV crossover questline, titled “The Path Infernal,” is currently available until Wednesday 8thMay. Players who complete the quests will be able to receive multiple Final Fantasy XVI-themed in-game rewards. More information on the crossover can be viewed here.

The expanded Free Trial now includes all content from A Realm Reborn and the Heavensward expansion, as well as an additional playable race (Au Ra), and three additional playable jobs (Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist). Free Trial players can enjoy hundreds of hours of award-winning gameplay and story experiences equivalent to two full Final Fantasy titles, without limit on playtime.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is coming to PC, PS5, PS4 and XBox Series X|S in July 2, 2024.
