Genshin Impact aims to offer an immersive adventure experience with vast, breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, an engaging element-based combat system, a diverse cast of characters with richly developed stories, and offers both the classic single-player mode and the cross-platform co-op mode for up to four players.
Players will take on the role of the mysterious "Traveler", setting off the voyage of finding their lost sibling, and ultimately unravels the mysteries of themselves and the world.
Joined by a lively companion called Paimon, players will explore the land filled with varied landscapes, culturally – diverse towns, and treacherous dungeons. By mastering the power of the seven elements with a custom party of up to 4 characters, players will overcome merciless foes and fiendish puzzles.
As a free-to-play online title, Genshin Impact enables players to explore Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor – two of the seven major cities in Teyvat – each with unique cultural ambience, stories, vast surrounding landscapes full of diverse creatures and enemies, mysteries, and hidden treasures. Furthermore, the game will continue to expand with more cities, following stories, new characters and seasonal events through live-service updates to enrich the gameplay and expedition in the continent of Teyvat.
HoYoverse today announced that the new season of Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup will arrive in 2024 with an updated competition system. For the first time ever, players will be divided into Atlantic and Pacific Regional Tournaments, encounter other elite players from an even broader area, and compete for the title of the championship and a total prize pool of 60,000 USD per region. Registration for the Wild Card competitions starts now, offering players their last chance to qualify for the new season, as well as bonus rewards including 160 Primogems and an exclusive card back.
Every match — from the Top 32 playoffs to the final of each regional tournament — will be broadcast in the upcoming new season. Genshin Impact fans, players, and any TCG lovers can watch the duelists shine via @AstraCarnival on X, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, as well as via @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch and @genshinimpact_en on TikTok.
As Teyvat's most popular tabletop card dueling game, Genius Invokation TCG was first introduced as a new gameplay mode for Genshin Impact in December 2022. In 2023, a diverse range of competitions was introduced for players in different regions, including the official tournament "Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup" and the community tournament "Cat's Tail Gathering." The contestants of this year's The Prince Cup: PACIFIC and The Prince Cup: ATLANTIC will each be comprised of the top 24 players from the previous "Cat's Tail Gathering," as well as 8 spots yet to be decided from the Wild Card competitions.
The Wild Card competitions are the last chance to enter this season's The Prince Cup for those who missed the Cat’s Tail Gathering. These competitions will take place from April 26 – 28 for the Atlantic Region and from May 17 – 19 for the Pacific Region. All candidates will receive 160 Primogems after completing their first match, and those who manage to win their first Bo3 will get an exclusive in-game card back!
Registration is available until April 15, 23:59:59 (UTC+8) for either the Atlantic Region or the Pacific Region.
After the players that have qualified for the Prince Cup have been decided, they will need to advance through the Regular Season (Top 32) and Knockout Stage (Top 8) to become the champion of their region. In the Regular Season, 32 top duelists will be randomly divided into 4 groups to decide the strongest 8 players. Advancing to the Knockout Stage, the Top 8 will compete face-to-face in Bo5 double-elimination matches, and the last two standing will compete in a Bo7 to decide the final champion and winner of the 16,000 USD prize!
Starting in May, Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup livestreams will be available via @AstraCarnival on X, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, as well as via @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch and @genshinimpact_en on TikTok.
