Earlier today Nintendo of America kicked off a 2 day press event showing off the new Nintendo DSi, and a variety of new Wii/DS features as well as new titles for both platforms, here's a recap of the press briefing.
Microsoft's pre-E3 briefing began with a roundup of some of their upcoming triple-A titles, and moved on to discuss their new dashboard and several new functionalities for Xbox Live. If one thing was emphasized over the course of the briefing, it was a renewed focus on cooperative play. Many of the games that were shown were either party games meant for multiple players or otherwise introduced an unexpected cooperative element for an upcoming title.

Rock Band allows you to perform music from the world's biggest rock artists with your friends as a virtual band using drum, bass/lead guitar and microphone peripherals, in addition to offering online connectivity. For those who haven't been following, we European consumers have finally been treated to the unbridled joy that is Rock Band — six months late and at twice the price of the U.S. version.

previous articles, these are games that you've probably not played, but you really should.

Last time in our Under the Radar roundup, we delved into games featuring Cthulhu-esque monstrosities and poor, terrified little children. Now that we've had enough of nightmares, though, it's time to brighten things up a bit with some comedy. For those of you who didn't read the
previous articles, these are games that you've probably not played, but you really should.

Christmas is over, the big games rush is all but done for now, and for most of the forthcoming triple-A titles, we've got at least a few months to wait. What's a gamer to do (other than play everything that we didn't buy before Christmas, obviously)? I'll be writing a pseudo-regular column on some decent little games you might've missed over the last few years, tackling a different theme each time.
