Deadly Creatures throws players into a venomous world of desert terror, where the greatest victory is survival. Originally scheduled for later this month, Gamestop and EBGames have changed the launch date to Feb. 2009.

Sony Rolls Out PS3 v2.53 Update

Sony has released a new, albeit minor, v2.53 PS3 firmware update, which includes the following: improved the way the Flash Player works with the internet browser. In addition to being able to access more sites using Flash, you'll be able to enjoy full-screen mode playability, and live movie (using RTMP format) playability. Now it's going to be even easier to enjoy web content on your PS3, in full screen!

Microsoft Admits NXE Breaks Sound Output, Fix Coming

The New Xbox Experience will give X360 owners a new experience that is fun, social and simple to use, and puts more entertainment at their fingertips than any other device connected to the TV. Last month Microsoft rolled out its new dashboard update/revamp but a limited amount of users have since experienced issues with sound output, mainly on older devices. A short statement was issued basically saying, "we are aware that a handful of Xbox Live users are experiencing audio issues, and are diligently monitoring this issue and working towards a solution."

The latest issue of GameInformer has the first details on the sequel to Naughty Dog's 2007 PS3-exclusive action/adventure game, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells had already hinted at a follow-up, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise, but Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be officially unveiled at the Spike VGA Awards on Dec. 14. Revolving around 13th century explorer Marco Polo, the sequel will put the focus on story, stealth gameplay and a free climbing mechanic.

Midway Sold to Undisclosed Party

It hasn't exactly been a big secret that Midway is in financial trouble and has been for a few years now. Earlier this year, not only did its CEO David F. Zucker resign, but also board member Shari Redstone (daughter of media mogul Sumner Redstone), while its losses mounted and it currently faces NYSE de-listing. It should come as no surprised then that Sumner Redstone has now sold off his 87% stake in Midway, for an abysmal $100,000, shares that were once worth almost $1 billion.
