The Sam & Max episodes let players guide the Freelance Police through a series of bizarre—and often sidesplitting—mysteries. While DreamCatcher will be bringing Season One to the Wii this August, Telltale revealed fans aching for Season 3 on PC will have to wait until 2009. Apart from the Wii, Telltate is also considering bringing Sam & Max to X360 and PS3.

Announced last month, GamersGate will host the worldwide download premiere of the first add-on to the historical city builder Imperium Romanum. The Conquest of Britannia adds four new missions and a plethora of game updates as the player faces the challenge of conquering the British Isles.

Savage 2 mixes RTS with FPS, allowing players to to opt for either the fast-paced action of a shooter game, or the more tactical planning of a RTS game, with squad-based features and enhanced RPG elements. One of the few remaining E3 holdouts is id Software, as it first confirmed its attendance, but then retracted the statement. According to Gamepolitics, the DOOM developer is no longer a member of ESA, making it the third big company to recently leave. Similar to Vivendi/Activision and LucasArts, id Software gave no specifics as to why it decided to leave, but the word is that current ESA President Michael Gallagher is partly to blame, as is a $5 million cancellation fee when E3 moved from LA to Santa Monica last year, which made their ESA membership fee jump from $1 million to $4.5 million.
