Activision has signed an $18.9 billion agreement to combine Vivendi Games, which includes Blizzard's World of Warcraft, with Activision, creating the world's largest pure-play online and console game publisher. Activision Blizzard will be led by Activision's current CEO, Bobby Kotick.

So Blonde, written by Broken Sword's Steve Ince, is an adventure game based around beautiful (anti-)heroine Sunny Blonde, featuring jet black humor that goes far beyond trite clichés, gorgeous cartoon graphics, puzzling riddles and a ton of gameplay surprises.

Grey Dog Software's World of Mixed Martial Arts, developed by Wrestling Spirit's Adam Ryland, is the company's first entry in the growing world of mixed martial arts fighting. This demo allows you to try out the entire game and permits you to continuously repeat six weeks of game time.

Team Fortress 2 is a class-based, multiplayer team warfare game, delivering new game types, a signature art style powered by Valve’s next-gen animation technology, persistent player statistics, etc... The war on terror is raging. Violence is escalating. Time and again, civilians are being kidnapped for ransom. Despite earlier assertions, the government takes up negotiations to free the hostages. At the same time, they also send a special unit of the US Navy Seals just in case the negotiations take a little too long....

While there has been no official announcement yet, at a recent press conference in Japan, Namco Bandai revealed it is working on no less than four titles in the Tales Of franchise, one of them on NDS. Offering a Tales of the Tempest like battle system, Tales of Innocence will be in 3D, and is currently scheduled for release in Japan on Dec. 6, 2007.

Both the BioShock PC Patch and the 360 Title Update will be available next week. In additon to these fixes, we will be releasing downloadable content free on both Xbox Live and for the PC, with the DLC bundled into the PC Patch. A full list of bug fixes and everything included in the DLC will be put up on the Cult of Rapture when the downloads become available.

SEGA's Universe at War: Earth Assault, developed by Petroglyph, is a combat-intensive RTS game enlisting players in an epic struggle to prevent total alien domination of planet Earth. Announced gold yesterday, SEGA today revealed that the PC edition will be in stores Dec. 10th.

Capcom has signed a development agreement with Camelot Software, known for titles such as Everybody's Golf and Mario Golf, to work on an all-new golf game We Love Golf!, turning the Wiimote into a virtual set of golf clubs, creating the most immersive golfing experience available off the greens.

Earlier this week, the Internet was on fiyah when Midway Austin's creative director Harvey Smith, lead designer of Ion Storm's Deus Ex titles, publicly criticized Blacksite: Area 51, for which he was lead designer, as being "f***ed up." Smith made the controversial statement at a Montreal International Game Summit lecture, blaming poor handling and pressure to share tech to get the title out before it was ready. Studio head Denise Fulton confirmed that the dismissal was by mutual agreement.

SEGA's Condemned 2: Bloodshot is a first-person action thriller immersing players in a world of psychological terror, featuring all-new fighting mechanics and online multiplayer functionality.

PAIN is a creative, user-driven comedic experience that presents players with the unique opportunity to control and capture the irreverent style of humor found in television shows such as Jackass or Viva La Bam. Launched yesterday, PAIN has been removed from the PlayStation Store due to issues with the game, some involving the inability to load some of the characters.
