Virgin PLAY announced Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come, a RTS that is chronicle of the trials and tribulations of the first crusaders and recreates its most important battles. From Constantinople to Jerusalem, you will become a part of the First Crusades in this historical recreation.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is Polyphony Digital's first real next-gen installment, after the mediocre Gran Turismo HD. GT 5 Prologue will sport improved AI, and for the first time include multiplayer up to 16 cars, with integrated with online features, such as a profile editor and an online event calendar.

Built from the ground-up for next-generation consoles using Digital Illusions' bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, Battlefield: Bad Company drops gamers behind enemy lines with a squad of renegade soldiers who risk it all on a personal quest for gold and revenge.

At Comic-con 2007, EA announced that EA Chicago, known for the Fight Night series and the more recent Def Jam Icon, will develop a brand new Super Hero fighting game franchise using the Marvel license, scheduled for release on PS3 & X360 in 2008.

SCEA announced an exclusive multi-year, multi-title game development deal with Eat, Sleep, Play, David Jaffe and Scott Campbell's new development company. Eat, Sleep, Play will create titles for the PlayStation platforms, starting with Twisted Metal: Head On for PS2, early 2008.

Toy Home seems to be a miniature car racing game in the same vein as Xbox Live Arcade's Mad Tracks, or Codemasters Micro Machines. While details are unavailable it's pretty safe to assume this will be a PlayStation Network downloadable title.

A few months back a financial analysis revealed that EA might already be working on The Godfather 2, but hadn't been heard from since. At a shareholder meeting, EA Games' Frank Gibeau confirmed this when responding to a question about mature titles, saying "The appeal of those types of games is growing as the demographics start to open up for that older demographic. We make products like Godfather 2, Army Of Two, Crysis - a lot of products that appeal to that older customer."

Bladestorm will offer massive battles mixed with strategy, much like the Dynasty Warriors titles, but one of the main differences is that the game will be situated in the Western medieval timeframe.

For Liberty! is a turn based computer strategy game for the PC, covering two wars of independence - the American Revolution (1775-1783) and the Rakoczi War of Independence in Europe 1703-1711. This v1.81 patch adds a "Retreat all units" button, and addresses a serious issue with tactical battles that appeared in the 1.80 update.

Transformers: The Game lets gamers control the outcome in the battle for Earth as they choose to protect it as Autobots or destroy it as Decepticons. Players will also experience the unstoppable power and massive scale of their favorite Robots in Disguise such as Bumblebee, Barricade and others.

After Blockbuster went Blu-ray back in June, Target seems to be putting its weight behind Sony's next-gen DVD format. Sony announced that starting in October, the Target brick & mortar stores will exclusively carry Blu-ray players "at least through the holiday season," and will also boost its selection of Blu-ray discs. However, Target's online store will still offer HD-DVDs at $299.
