Epic Games Acquires 'Painkiller' Developer People Can Fly

Epic Games announced that it has acquired a majority interest in Warsaw, Poland-based game developer People Can Fly, best known for Painkiller, but most recently has been collaborating with Epic on the PC version of Gears of War. The two companies are collaborating on a new IP which Epic will be previewing privately at Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany this week.

The latest Famitsu issue reveals that Hudson is working on an all-new Wii-exclusive sports title similar to Wii Sports. Featuring 10 activities Deca Sports will fully use the Nunchuk/Wiimote to control your Mii like characters, single, as well as multiplayer. Revealed last week Microsoft officially announced a retail price drop for its Xbox 360 consoles in Europe, and launched the Xbox 360 Elite (€449,99). From Friday, 24th August 2007, the 20 GB Xbox 360 will be reduced by €50 to €349,99, while the Core version (no HD) will be reduced €20 to €279,99.
