Developer Tragnarion Studios will use Epic's Unreal Engine 3 for their new multiplatform shooter with a focus on co-op narrative and gameplay. The Scourge Project will be a story-driven FPS game built from the ground up for co-op squad play, where up to 4 players each experience a personal story, whilst playing together as a squad.

Based on SCEA's preliminary internal data, PS3 sales have increased by more than 135% at the top five retailers since the new $499 price was announced two weeks ago on July 9th. During this same two-week period, total PlayStation hardware sales have increased by 161%, software by 15% and peripherals by 60%.

Symantec says an Adobe Flash vulnerability could affect the Nintendo Wii through its Opera internet browser, and as a result of the exploit completely freeze up the console while browsing a specially crafted video. Researchers at Symantec said the vulnerability has already been tested on Windows, Mac and some Linux apps, saying it reflects the increasing use of cross-platform hacks, and recommend users to update Flash Player with the latest patches from Adobe.
