IDV announced it has signed SpeedTree RT licenses with Artplant AS, Bandai Namco, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment (Stargate Online), Cryptic Studios (unannounced title), Epiphany Games, and LucasArts. These new SpeedTree-powered games will run the spectrum from next gen shooters to MMOs and RPG titles, most of them scheduled for 2008.

Last year a London Stock Exchange article revealed BugBear was bringing its destructive racing to X360 under the FlatOut: Total Carnage title, but no details as to whether this was an all new title, or maybe a bundle were available. Earlier today Empire revealed "FlatOut: Total Carnage is a re-imagining of FlatOut 2 rebuilt from the ground up and specifically developed to make use of the additional feature sets and improved processing ability of third generation technologies," and a launch date will be announced in the near future

Burger King reported higher Q2 earnings, mainly due to the 3.2 million King-themed Xbox 360 games that were sold at its restaurants this past quarter. Net income for Q2 was $38 million, compared with $27 million a year ago.
