Outsource Media today announced that it has created the voice of Pac-Man – the world’s most recognised videogame character for publisher Namco Hometek, in the forthcoming Pac-Man World 3. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the global gaming icon, Pac-Man’s verbal abilities have been vastly expanded from its two famous sounds – “wocka wocka” - to a full vocabulary with a voice provided by Martin T. Sherman.

According to NPD's annual gaming report, PS2 and Xbox online gamers indicated an increased willingness to pay for online game play, as well as interest in paying for downloadable content. So while consoles are making gain, PC gamers who play online has experienced a two percentage point decline in usage penetration since last year.

No North American announcement, release date, or publisher, has been announced yet. True Crime: New York City will follow gang member turned NYPD officer Marcus Reed through the meticulously re-created streets of a real-life metropolitan area.

In reaction to German publisher Frogster seizing its Bet on Soldier support, UK publisher Digital Jesters announces that both DJ and BoS developer Kylotonn will continue support for Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport with patches, compatibilty issues and anything else that crops up in the future. Claiming Frogster did their statement in error, a retraction or clarification is said to be announced soon.

Lumines creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi has unveiled his newest PSP creation, Every Extend Extra. As with most of his other titles gameplay and music are closely intertwined and are equally important in the game experience. E3 is a mix between shoot'm up and strategy, as you have to provoke chain reactions by avoiding enemy fire. Not too many details were disclosed yet, but Every Extend Extra is expected in Japanese stores January 2006, so more will be revealed in the near future.

2K Games informed us that due to a assembly error French tech tree posters have snuck into some of the North American Civilization IV boxes. If you are only of the unlucky owners of such a game, and ne parlez pas frenchie, you do not have to return your game to the store but instead you can go online and fill out a form to get an English version sent your way, for free of course. If you are too antsy to wait for it, 2K Games has also made a downloadable .pdf version available so you can be on your merry way until the mailman brings you the proper poster.
