Blitz: The League is being developed by Midway's Chicago in collaboration with a writer from ESPN's controversial "Playmakers" TV series. Blitz: The League goes behind the glitz and glamour of the game through a revolutionary campaign mode that explores the on-field violence, off-field fallout and front-office politics of professional football.

Massive Incorporated today announced that Sony Online Entertainment has joined Massive's video game network. SOE's MMO action game, PlanetSide, will now be part of the Massive network and is scheduled to begin running in-game billboards in mid-August.

True Crime: New York City will follow another policeman through the meticulously re-created streets of a real-life metropolitan area. However, instead of the wisecracking LAPD detective Nick Kang, gamers will now play as Marcus Reed, a former gang member turned NYPD officer.
