According to
GameFront, the newest issue of GameInformer will have the first info on NeverSoft's upcoming mystery title Gun. During E3, Activision only released teaser material without giving away any clues about the title, but now the first details are trickling through. Gun will be a GTA-style game, set in the West in the 1880s, in cities such as Dodge City and Las Vegas (
in New Mexico, not the gambling paradise). The game will also feature plenty of Western celebrities such as Wyatt Earp, Billy the Kid, Bat Masterson, Mysterious Dave Mather, Doc Holliday, Dirty Dave Rudabaugh, Jesse James, and Hoodoo Brown. The murderous 'Dodge City Gang' has been on a rampage and you seek revenge, hunting them down between Indians and Mexican pistoleros. Main mode of transportation is any horse you can find or steal, and of course, Gun will include high speed "horse" pursuits. Already in development for quite a while, Gun is scheduled for a fall 2005 release.
