Vivendi has announced that next week tuesday, March 1st it will release singleplayer demo for Mad Doc Software's RTS Empire Earth II. The single-player demo will let you take control of one of three civilizations, the Germans, Americans, or Koreans, through three of the game's 15 epochs, including the Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment. Microsoft today announced that Hironobu Sakaguchi, video game legend and president of Mistwalker game studio, has joined with Microsoft Game Studios to develop role-playing game (RPG) video games exclusively for the next-generation Xbox video game platform. Sakaguchi is best known as the creator of the "Final Fantasy" franchise.

Ubisoft and developer Gearbox Software today announced that Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, the highly-anticipated World War II game, has gone gold and will soon be on store shelves. The Xbox version will ship on March 1, and PlayStation and PC versions will ship shortly thereafter.

While there is no official word yet, Russian developer Nival Interactive has signed the Novik mod team to bring their Silent Storm Sickle & Hammer modification to a full blown retail version. Funcom has signed an exclusive agreement with Massive Incorporated, creator of the world's first video game advertising network.
