Demo should be ready this week

Hi Folks,

The demo is nearly ready to go. It should be out sometime within the next few days. Keep watching this space (the stickies) for an announcement. When it's ready we'll just be releasing it randomly to a few major sites so that hopefully it will spread like wildfire and everyone will be able to get it from their favorite games site. There won't be any special exclusives or anything like that. We want everyone to be enjoying it the minute it goes live.

Update: The forum is now updated with following news from Mark Reign.. I'm expecting the demo to be out sooner than 5 days but things have a way of cropping up and biting us in the ass so you never know. It could be as early as tomorrow or as late as the weekend but I'm pretty confident that it's this week.

Zapper is an action-packed and addictive game that starts with the “avoid-em-up” game play mechanics of Blitz Games’ own Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge, and then takes the action to a whole new level. In this action-adventure game, Zapper (a cricket) hops his way through six interactive worlds in a quest to find his brother, held captive by the evil magpie queen. Dangerous traps and even more dangerous enemies await Zapper. It will take fast-footed skill and timing to conquer all the worlds and survive the final showdown with the magpie queen.

Blizzard Entertainment will be making their next product announcement at the Tokyo Game Show. The press conference will be held at the Hotel New Otani Makuhari on Friday, September 20th, at 9:00 AM. A second press conference will be held immediately following at 10:15 AM. Additionally, Blizzard will be holding press meetings at the New Otani Makuhari on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21st and 22nd. The next age in the upcoming game, Myst III: Exile for PS2 and Xbox -- Edanna the Nature Age. Edanna is a fantastic, living edifice that rises some 200 feet above the ocean. This nature-infused Age is a tree-like structure, that grows inward. Knotted, sun-bleached branches weave a labyrinth down the trunk's interior, creating three distinct ecosystems: the dry Deadwood Ridge, the lush canopied forest and the murky saltwater swamp. To find Edanna's unique symbol, players must discover how various plants and animals in the Age react to different stimuli.

BAM! Entertainment today announced that it has commenced shipping the motorcycle racing game Riding Spirits for PS2 to North American retailers. The critically acclaimed title includes more than 200 licensed motorcycles from Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki, as well as licensed accessories and gear from Shoei, Alpinestars and other major race sponsors. Called "BAM! Entertainment's two-wheeled answer to Gran Turismo" by online video game magazine IGN.com, Riding Spirits has been in development by Spike in Japan for the past two years.

Shaggy: Can we have an in game graphical interface to set admin/game options fitted as standard - I find the command line stuff too slow and easily screwed up so it would be nice if I didn't have to wait around for ages until some nice person wrote a mod for it.?

DrSin: Yes, but probably not until the first patch. Michel Comeau (DarkByte) is doing it once all the default in-game menus are done. He also wrote the new web admin system so I would expect it to follow the functionality fairly closely.
