Metro3D, Inc. today announced that it has partnered with Developer Irem Software Engineering Inc. to introduce Sub Rebellion for the Sony PlayStation 2 game console. This fast-paced 3-dimensional submarine exploration shooter, which was released as -U- Underwater Unit in Japan this May 2002, is slated for a U.S. release in October 2002, and features a "Teen" ESRB Rating.

Guess how many people have applied to change their names to "Turok"?? No, go on, guess.
Acclaim UK invited applications to take part in a project known as Identity Marketing, whereby individuals will change their names by deed poll to Turok, the hero in the title of Acclaim's epic new release, Turok: Evolution. In a little over 12 hours, over 3,000 people have applied to swap their identities for those of a video game character and new applications are being submitted to the website that is dedicated to this project at the rate of 20-30 per minute.

The official Battlefield: 1942 web site has started a clock counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the release of the multiplayer demo for the upcoming WWII multiplayer game. According to the clock the demo for Digital Illusions and Electronic Arts' game will be released at 12 noon PST (3 p.m. EST) on Friday and will contain the Wake Island map, five player classes and eight kinds of vehicles, including planes and ships.
