Airborne Assault Patch 2 with MapMaker

Australian developers, Panther Games and publisher Battlefront.com are pleased to announce the release of Patch 2 for "Airborne Assault - Red Devils over Arnhem". This patch includes the new beta MapMaker application. With the MapMaker and the previously released ScenMaker, users now have complete freedom to design their own battles for the AA engine, including non-Market Garden battles covering the actions on the entire Western Front 1944-1945!

'Command & Conquer : Generals' - No Demo!??!

German ice-bert.net and its affiliate cncgenerals.info reported that according to their EA source, Delphi, we won't be seeing any demo of EA's upcoming RTS title, C&C : Generals. Eventhough Harvard Bonin had said earlier that they're going to work on a multiplayer demo, this seems to not be the case. The official forum simply says "No demo". No multiplayer nor single player demo?? Whats a bust! (thanks EvilAvatar).

Action Trip has a new preview of Zuxxez Entertainment and Eidos's WWI themes RTS game, WWII: Panzer Claws(available in Europe, coming this fall to the US). GameSpy takes a look at the incarnation of Samus Aran in the Gameboy Advance version of Metroid Fusion. Gamer's Pulse is has up a preview of Ensemble Studios' upcoming 3D RTS game, Age of Mythology. PC Gameworld has a preview of Rival Interactive's sequel to last year's Real War, the military C&C clone, Real War: Rogue States. GameSpy has a preview of 4X Studio, Wanadoo and Dreamcatcher's First Person Shooter, Iron Storm. Involved in the project for the past two years, Jacques Villeneuve worked closely with the Ubi Soft development team to provide players with a new racing challenge featuring an emphasis on driver performance. Mark Rein 'Vice President' at Epic Games Inc. posted up following information about Unreal Tournament 2003 on the official forum:

Infogrames told us that some stores should have copies as early as today. The chains I recall are: BestBuy, EB, Target, Wal*Mart and Gamestop - there might be others but I'm not at my own computer right now so I can't verify the list. From what I understand they can sell it the minute they get it. There is no "street date" for this game - at least not in the USA. I have no idea why they would hold it back in the UK or Europe - that would certainly NOT be our preference.

The units do now have camouflage colours and you are also able to utilize a ME323 Gigant. As we speak of Mods: the RWM-Mod just reached Version 6.0. Cossacks: Back to War does not only feature two new nations (Hungary/Switzerland), but it also includes the new ACS functionality. ACS stand for 'Automatic Championship System' and offers the possibility for the best Cossacks players of the world to compete against each other in an online championship. In addition to the ACS feature, Cossacks: Back to War also offers the so called 'VIZOR-System'. The VIZOR-System extends the Cossacks shell and provides the player with live combat. It`s like watching football on TV, except for one difference: you are able to either watch a Cossacks battle during the gameplay, or after it ended. There will also be an archive where you will be able to review the most spectacular battles.
