'Big Scale Racing' Announced & Screens

Dutch developer/publisher BumbleBeast announces the release of "Big Scale Racing", its first game title. Shop release is scheduled for August/September 2002. Big Scale Racing is based on the highly popular 1/5 scale Radio Control (RC) racing hobby, and will be distributed worldwide by Summitsoft (USA & Canada), HD-Interactive (Europe), Aqua System (Japan) and Ozisoft (Australia, under negotiation). Big Scale Racing was presented at the E3.

'America's Army : Recon' Patch Tomorrow

As being mentioned in various places America's Army developers are trying to fix up some of the mess they made with the initial Recon release. The America's Army: Operations 'Recon' website mentions that a new update for this tactical first-person shooter by the U.S. Army is expected to be ready for release tomorrow. You will be able to choose from either a 3MB patch or an updated full Recon download. The patch will address "client and server-side flooding issues," the "Sniper Rifle bug from random weapon selection" and more, as well as adding "Community Game Server Support" and an "Admin Spectator Mode." Of course we WILL keep you posted when it arrives...

The New 'Day of Defeat 3.0' Has Arrived

A new version of the Day of Defeat Half Life Modification is now available, with four separate downloads to choose from, depending on whether you are upgrading a Beta 2.1 Windows or Linux installation or doing a full install for either OS. The new 3.0 version offers loads of fixes and enhancements, including the addition of a new "Para" gameplay mode, cutscenes, removable helmets, and a new spectator system. BAM! Entertainment just let us know that, in celebration of the upcoming theatrical debut of Reign of Fire, they’ve launched a new website dedicated to the upcoming game. The new Reign of Fire website features some amazing new screenshots (for xbox,ps2/gba versions), artwork, and the first game trailer. Reign of Fire makes its theatrical debut on July 12th with the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance game following in the fall. Check it out (and i will be checking out the movie for sure!!! Been drooling over it for weeks).

The 3DO Company today announced the development of the Army Men: Air Combat “The Elite Missions” game for the Nintendo GameCube system. The Army Men: Air Combat “The Elite Missions” game follows the exploits of the heroic Captain Blade and his Alpha Wolf Squadron as they once again take to the skies in support of the Green Army in their ongoing struggle with the Tan forces. The game is planned to ship in time for Christmas 2002.
