Atari today released its financial results for the third quarter fiscal 2006, and it's not looking good at all. Net revenue dropped 30%, and went from a net income to a net loss. Additionally, its Executive Vice President and CFO, Diane Baker, resigned to pursue a new opportunity. As if that were not enough, its credit facility let Atari know they will not extend any further credit, which raises substantial doubt about Atari's ability to continue. An article in the Chinese-language Commercial Times seems to think so. After initially announcing it at last year's E3, and some footage at TGS 2005, PS3's first appearance could be next week at the Taipei Game Show (TGS) 2006, which takes place between February 16-20.
