'Gangland' Ships To Stores

Whiptail Interactive and developer MediaMobsters announced today that the action-style Mafia game Gangland has shipped to retail stores nationwide. Gangland combines the RTS, RPG & SIM genres into a new breed of gaming mayhem, letting players bribe, steal and seduce their way to the top of the family tree. Gangland for the PC has a SRP of $49.99 and has been rated M for Mature.

LucasArts Cancels 'Sam & Max Freelance Police'

LucasArts quitely put a notice on their website to announce that the Sam & Max sequel has been cancelled. "After careful evaluation of current market place realities and underlying economic considerations, we've decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC" says Mike Nelson, Acting General Manager and VP of Finance and Operations. There is currently no plan to reduce staff.
