O.R.B. is a visually stunning 3D Real-Time strategy game that pits the forces of two races against each other in a desperate struggle to control the resources they need to expand their empires. O.R.B. stands for Off World Resource Base and what happens in the “Off World” is the stuff that dreams or nightmares are made of. Within the multiple systems are the precious resources that both planets desperately need to thrive. The stage has been set for a battle to control the solar system. Sierra just let us know that they have updated their "No One Lives Forever 2" website to celebrate the launch of their already heralded title "NOLF2 : A Spy In Harm's Way". Also available is the first update patch bringing the retail copy to v1.1. Since a lot of people (including myself) are having problems with the sound/speech they issued a fix to address this. The game’s story picks back up in Britain, c. 2024. Quinn has grown up to be a “resistance fighter” for a small community hiding in an old castle in the burnt-out English countryside. His people have been reduced to living in near-medieval conditions. There’s a pair of dragons prowling the vicinity, attacking the few remaining villages, destroying crops, and generally making life hell for the humans. The fire brigades risk their lives to put out the awful firestorms caused by the dragon attacks as they rescue the trapped or wounded survivors. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will release in time for the lucrative Christmas 2002 market exclusively on Xbox, with a PC version to appear by the end of the year.
