When Ascaron filed for Chapter 11 a few months back, it revealed that an add-on for its recently released Sacred 2 was in development, as well as a 3rd installment in the franchise. When Kalypso acquired most brands, intangible assets and exploitation rights, it wasn't quite sure whether that included Sacred or not, but according to community manager Anca Adelina Finta, Ascaron still has the license for Sacred 2, and one of its subsidiary studios will continue working on the add-on.
