CoD 4: Modern Warfare is a new action-thriller that will arm gamers with the most advanced and powerful arsenal of modern-day firepower to fight a new war in the world's most treacherous hot spots. Valve announced that Call of Duty 4 is heading to Steam, which will be made available on Nov. 12 ($49.95).

SCEA has issued a statement that its Santa Monica studio director Cory Barlog has left in order to "pursue other opportunities." Earlier this year, the series creative director, David Jaffe, had already left to form his own studio Eat Sleep Play. Without giving any further specifics as to its time frame, SCEA confirmed the earlier rumblings that God of War III is currently in development for the PS3, expressing its confidence in the remaining members of the Santa Monica development team.

Asterix at the Olympic Games follows Asterix, Obelix and the faithful Dogmatix as they travel to Greece in aid of their lovesick friend Alafolix. Their journey takes them to the Olympic Games where they find themselves pitted against the athletic might of the Roman Empire. This multilingual demo lets you try put part of the game.

NCsoft announced that it has fully acquired the City of Heroes/Villains intellectual property that was still partly owned by Cryptic Studios, and has formed a new studio to further develop the franchise.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is the long awaited sequel to the NiGHTS franchise that gave gamers the freedom to fly in a world of dreams and imagination. SEGA announced that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will be the first Wii title to tap into the system’s Weather Channel support.
