Eidos announces that Championship Manager 5 will be released on Xbox and PlayStation 2 on 13th May 2005. Championship Manager 5 features 25 playable national leagues with 59 divisions and a massive database of footballers from around the world.

Initially scheduled for October 2004, the Christmas 2004, Eidos announced today that Championship Manager 5 will be released in the UK on Friday 18th March and internationally on Friday 1st April. PS2 and Xbox versions will follow later this Spring.

The release of the PC version of Championship Manager 5 will not now take place in October. Eidos is continuing to work towards release of the PC version of the game shortly before Christmas, although this may extend into the New Year. As previously stated, the XBox and PS2 versions of Championship Manager 5 remain firmly on track for release in Spring 2005 and the online version will be available through subscription shortly after the PC game's release.

In an interview with MCV, the UK's games trade mag, Ric Williams of Eidos Interactive reveals that North London-based Beautiful Game Studios is creating the latest Championship Manager title.
