Last week SCi entered into an agreement with Warner Bros. but it seems it was not the only offer on the table. Infogrames has presented the SCi Board with a detailed indicative offer that it believes has the potential to be significantly value enhancing to both SCi's and Infogrames' shareholders. Unfortunately the SCi Board has declined, at this stage, to entertain Infogrames' offer.

Hasbro and Infogrames jointly announced today that Hasbro has reacquired the digital gaming rights for its properties for $65 million. These rights were previously held by Infogrames on an exclusive basis as a result of a license agreement entered into concurrently with their purchase of Hasbro Interactive and Games.com from Hasbro in December of 2000.

Already rumored earlier this week, it is now slowly becoming fact.Franco-American video game publisher Infogrames Inc., in an effort to increase its profile with consumers by reaching back into gaming history, on Wednesday said it would change its name to Atari. To mark the new Atari Inc. and the new ticker symbol 'ATAR', Chief Executive Bruno Bonnell is set to open the Nasdaq on Wednesday. On top of that i have noticed that one of my PR contact changed the Infogrames account to Atari.

MCV UK reports that Infogrames will be making the switch to the Atari brand name tomorrow (May 7th). As the firm prepares to ship a staggering 3.5m units of Enter The Matrix around the world, strong rumours of a name-switch to Atari have been growing for some time – with logic suggesting that an announcement would be made at the looming E3 trade show in Los Angeles. It appears, however, that the switch will be completed ahead of the show, giving Infogrames staff a little time to get used to the new corporate identity ahead of the LA expo.

Infogrames, Inc. and Dritte/Vierte Boll Kino Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co KG (Boll Kino) today announced a deal that will take Infogrames' horror classic, ALONE IN THE DARK from the computer screen to the big screen. The newest issue of Computer Games magazine has a brief article on an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons PC RPG called "The Temple Of Elemental Evil". Based on a classic 1985 D&D pen-and-paper module from its creator Gary Gygax, the article states that the developer of the game will be Trokia, who previously developed the "steampunk" RPG Arcanum. The game is scheduled to be released via publisher Infogrames in the latter half of 2003, according to the report (
