TRON 2.0: Killer App is an epic FPS that digitizes players inside the world of a war-ravaged computer system on the verge of collapse from a seemingly unstoppable army of corrupt programs lead by the evil "user" Thorne. After the official (WinXP Only) patches there is now the non-official 3rd party patch for Monolith's 3D cyberspace action game TRON 2.0 that will work on any and all Windows operating systems. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.042 and adresses a rendering bug, some memory leaks, and makes some cosmetic changes to the user interface (thanks 3DGamers). Read more for download links.

TRON 2.0 is a story-driven, first-person action game that propels the player into an alternate universe inside a computer. Monolith has released an updated version of last weeks TRON 2.0 multiplayer deathmatch patch. This update requires you to have the latest v1.030 patch, is NOT compatible with the previous version and adds Derez (deathmatch) and Team Derez game modes, as well as three multiplayer maps designed by Touchdown Entertainment. Single-player save games are affected and will no longer work after applying this patch. The official patch requires WinXP to install, but there is also an unsupported 3rd party version that works on all Windows versions (thanks 3DGamers). Read more for details & download links ..

Buena Vista has released an updated level editor for Monolith's sci-fi FPS Tron2.0, allowing you to create your own single/multiplayer maps. Buena Vista has released a new patch for Monolith's 3D cyberspace action game TRON 2.0. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.030 and adresses a skipping issue with the light cycle single player maps, a multiplayer exploit, fixes Intel 865G integrated graphics chipsets, and a Disc Arena 2 problem. On top of that they also released a level editor allowing you to create your own single/multiplayer maps (thanks 3DGamers). Read more for download links.

Buena Vista Interactive, a publishing label of Buena Vista Games, Inc., today announced that mod tools for TRON 2.0 are now available for download. These powerful tools will allow gamers to create new TRON 2.0 levels, maps, skins, weapons and voice packs for the critically acclaimed first-person action adventure game that received Editor's Choice Awards from the industry's leading PC game publications. In addition, players will be able to exchange their mods on the TRON 2.0 Web site beginning in November.

This demo features a tutorial, the 'Abandoned Test Grid' mission where you battle against Resource Hogs and the Seeker, and the new 'Low Level Crunch' map in the Light Cycles portion of the game (thanks FilePlanet). Straigth off this months PCGamer cover cd comes Monolith's demo for their upcoming action based on the Tron movie from 20 years ago. The Tron 2.0 demo features a Light Circle tutorial where you several AI controlled opponents in a 4 way duel in the Conscripts Duel Arena. After the tutorial you can get on the internet and battle it out online. The full Corrupted Sector map is included, playable over LAN or the net with up to 16 teams (Mucho Gracias Andy).
