Since Madden is EA's first Wii title with online capabilities, a lot of gamers have expressed frustration about lag in multiplayer. EA recognizes the problem and is working on a solution, "As updates are taking place over the next 24 hours, some fans may experience an interruption in online play."

EA has released a new patch for the 17th installment in its long running football franchise, Madden NFL 2007. The new update corrects lag issues that gamers were experiencing when playing the game against an opponent across a large geographical distance. Players were incorrectly aging in certain Create-A-Player/Train-A-Player situations. This has been fixed as well.
