While not yet announced, UK studio Juice Games, part of THQ, was working on a new action/air combat/flight sim game in the vein of Ubisoft's H.A.W.X. and Namco Bandai's Ace Combat series. Unfortunately the Juice Games, known for its racing sim Juiced, had to scrap the project and lay off the 30 people working on the game.

Set in a modern day survival-horror universe, the cooperative gameplay of Left 4 Dead casts four "Survivors" in an epic struggle against hordes of swarming zombies and terrifying "Boss Infected" mutants. Valve
revealed that L4D will get new scenarios on both X360 and PC simultaneously, as well as versus support for both the Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns, although no price was mentioned. Modders can also expect an SDK with tools to make their own mods, maps, and scenarios.

Nippon Ichi Software’s Prinny will be the most heartpounding and challenging sidescrolling action game ever. Players will control an unlucky penguin dude called a Prinny and slash their way through various Netherworlds. While the game is not out yet in North America, Japanese gamers have already received the first "free" DLC, Devil Castle, adding a new dungeon/boss battle.

In late 2003, Ubisoft released its action/adventure Beyond Good & Evil to much critical acclaim, but unfortunately, that did not translate into sales numbers, and the franchise was abandoned. While a teaser trailer was released at UbiDays 08, there has yet to be an official announcement. However, Michel Ancel revealed at Video Games Live in Paris that the dev team has been given carte blanche by Ubisoft to make the game they want, and have been developing BG&E2 for 18 months now.
