The January '08 issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine reveals that Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Online will be sold as a bundle. MGO will support up to 16 players in multiplayer (deathmatch, king of the hill, team deathmatch and team sneak) on five starter maps, so to get the full experience you'll most likely need to pay extra. Similar to CoD4, you will be able to upgrade your character through three special skills/perks as you play online.

In an interview with Jiji Press, Japanese Xbox head honcho Takashi Sensui stated that Microsoft's strategic goal is to double the amount of X360 titles to 500 in 2008, spearheaded by a sequel to Mistwalker's RPG title Blue Dragon. "We're in talks with Microsoft about development of a sequel. Specifics aren't finalized, but there's a possibility that it will be produced as an online title," said Mistwalker president Hironobu Sakaguchi.

One of the most anticipated UT3 features was the possibility of allowing PS3 gamers to import new community content/mods on their consoles. Now that the game has shipped, it seems that the feature is not quite ready for prime time.
Epic programmer Josh Adams revealed that the PS3 mod tools are on hold due to legal/release issues. Once finished, it requires the latest PC patch and a PS3 Mod Tools patch that adds PS3 mod support to the PC version. Once "cooked," you will need to transfer them from PC to PS3 by a supported removable media type (memory card, USB drive, etc.).

Kohnke Communications, the public relations firm that handled Perpetual Entertainment's
Gods and Heroes campaign, is suing the developer over breach of contract, fraudulent transfer of assets and other violations for $80,000 to $290,000 in damages. According to court documents revealed by
Ten Ton Hammer, Kohnke alleges that Perpetual transferred the Star Trek Online license to a newly created company and
canceled Gods and Heroes as a way of evading creditors.
