Lionhead Studios announced today that its plans for Xbox title BC have been suspended. Lionhea's Peter Molyneux said : “The decision to suspend work on any games project is always a very difficult one, particularly when it is a title with the potential of BC. We hope to revive the project at a later date and will endeavour to assign as many of the team as possible to other Lionhead projects.” (

Silent Storm: Sentinels chatlog sessions over at StrategyCore reveals that Nival is currently working on yet another turn based strategy game "Night Watch." Nival's latest Silent Storm expansion pack Sentinels has recently been finished and is already available in the UK (no US publisher yet). Nightwatch is based on material from Russian writer Lukyanenko and is situated in the not so distant future. The game will have you battle vampires, wherewolves and other creatures throughout various European cities. Nightwatch runs off Nival's highly acclaim Silent Storm engine, no release date announced yet.

Sony UK confirmed today that the European edition of its highly popular racing game 'Gran Turismo 4' has been pushed back from its original Dec. 2004 release date to Q1 2005. At the TGS earlier this year GT4 producer Kazunori Yamauchi had said that there would be a somewhat simultanious world wide release it seems Sony Europe needs more time to complete all the different localized versions (translations in 13 different languages).

With slightly less than a month to go until Halo 2's official release, malicious hackers have struck once again. After last year's Half-Life 2 theft, it seems a PAL/French version of Bungie's FPS has been leaked onto various ftp sites, peer-to-peer networks and Usenet newsgroups. Microsoft is currently on a press tour showing off the full game to various magazines, albeit in a closed environment. Apparently Microsoft is already aware of the leak and is said to be investigating the matter, "aggressively pursuing the source of this illegal act" (
