Ubisoft Europe has just announced that DarkWorks' Cold Fear has gone gold for Xbox & PS2, and will be available in European stores March 3rd, and a few days later in North America. No specific release date for the PC version has been announced yet. Vivendi has announced that next week tuesday, March 1st it will release singleplayer demo for Mad Doc Software's RTS Empire Earth II. The single-player demo will let you take control of one of three civilizations, the Germans, Americans, or Koreans, through three of the game's 15 epochs, including the Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment. There are two games types to choose from: conquest and territory control. Of course we will have it available on our fileserver network as soon as its released, so stay tuned!

Microsoft today announced that Hironobu Sakaguchi, video game legend and president of Mistwalker game studio, has joined with Microsoft Game Studios to develop role-playing game (RPG) video games exclusively for the next-generation Xbox video game platform. Tomorrow Valve will release the promised update to Counter-Strike: Source. Along with a new hostage rescue map Valve's been working on (cs_compound), Turtle Rock Studios has been working on getting de_train converted over to CS:S. Along with the two new maps, there are a number of fixes to the bots in Counter-Strike, an enhancement to the radar to display your current location in the map, and a fix for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch where players are disguising themselves as headcrabs, filing cabinets, and other invalid models.
