Nintendo will launch Nintendo 3DS during the fiscal year ending March 2011, on which games can be enjoyed with 3D effects without the need for any special glasses.  “Nintendo 3DS” is going to be the new portable game machine to succeed Nintendo DS series, and will include backward compatibility so that the software for NDS series, including the ones for NDSi, can also be enjoyed. Nintendo has released its Q3 financial results showing a significant decline in net sales compared to last year (634.1 billion yen vs. 699.4 billion), mainly due to the decline during the mid-term. The lifetime sales numbers show that the Wii has now outsold the NES, making it the best selling Nintendo home videogame console of all time, while the NDS surpassed the GBA as Nintendo's best-selling hardware of all time.
