The weekend is over, but it was filled with gaming, TV watching and sleeping. It was great!
We're basically all caught up, apart from a few series I have to watch by myself. While we munched on cookies and M&Ms we watched Amazing Race, another ep. of Heroes, Bones, V, and two movies,
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, and
17 Again. Going in, we were more excited about the superheroes cartoon, but oddly enough, the
Zac Efron/
Matthew Perry comedy/drama turned out to be the better movie.

We finally did it. We gave in and got a Wii.
We didn't do it for all of the colorful party and casual games, but I'm a sucker for lightgun games, so with Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles coming up, I simply had to get one. While I have yet to purchase a gun casing, we played some Wii Sports (bowling and baseball are our faves, but we suck at tennis), and we also have MadWorld lying around here somewhere. One of the other points of interest are the C64 games on the Virtual Console. Can't wait to check out some of the old classics!
I didn't manage to make a dent in my DVR backlog. Only watched Fringe (if you like Criminal Minds-meets-X-Files, this show is for you), and a few more shows were on last night, so I've got even more catching up to do. We did watch Stargate Universe (awesome!) and FlashForward (good!), however, so I guess it could have been worse.

After yesterday's slew of bad news, today was a tad better. While our DVR still seems to have issues recognizing new TV shows this week, CrimeCraft has settled down, and there hasn't been a single crash all day.
Last night's episode of Castle was great — one of the best ones yet. Fans of Nathan Fillion will no doubt have picked up on his Halloween attire being a tribute to Firefly. His daughter's comment was also awesome: "Didn't you wear that five years ago? Don't you think you should move on?" Luckily, one of the few shows the DVR did manage to pick up was the new Sons Of Anarchy, so I'm going to try and squeeze in that one later today.

Ahh, weekend, I'm always glad to see ya. Slept in way late but then had to rush to get our errands done because the wife and I wanted to watch the women's semifinals of the U.S. Open. Of course, we were rooting for Kim Clijsters, who played a great match even though victory came in a somewhat awkward way. Onto the finals!
We also watched "Inkheart" with Brandon Frasier, which turned out the be much better than we anticipated. It's more geared toward the younger crowd but not a bad flick at all.
Also received my latest Gears of War comic books (thanks Dana) so I quickly shredded through those, but I am still amazed at how thin comics are these days, and they're filled to the brim with ads. I used to be an avid X-Men and Sgt. Rock reader 15 years ago, so it seems things have changed quite a bit. It's been a while, so maybe I'll have to dig up my old issues and reminisce.

It doesn't get much more simpler than that, I'm tired, beat, worn out, stick a fork in me. Luckily the weekend is in sight, so I will soldier on and pull through. Some people have recently called me bionic, so I guess I can't let them down now ....
One of the side effects of me being tired, I honestly start acting loopy, as in insane in the membrane. Most of the times, it's a funny crazy though, so have no fear. :)
Nothing too exciting happened yesterday, even the news was sort of blah, a few
average demos, no scandals, no surprising
buyouts or
takeovers from Disney, although later today a few Euros might get a little excited over the FIFA 10 demo, so keep an eye out on the
file servers.

Not that the title is of any great importance, but it's based on a sticker I have hanging on top of my monitor, and since I apparently don't sleep much, certain people thought it was appropriate to have it there.
If you haven't checked out the new GTA: Ballad of Tony Gay yet, be sure to do so. It's pretty cool (and I'm not even a fan).
Just watched the newest "Weeds," and while I'm glad that the crazy drama from last season seems to have subsided, this episode's ending sure was a surprise. Good stuff.
"Raising the Bar" had its season finale last week, so I guess I'll be able to spend more time in CrimeCraft. I'm a gunsmith so my gang is counting on me to craft them some good weapons, but leveling up your character and your profession takes a while.
Where's that 4-Slot SR, damnit ...
